IVECO advances its energy transition with Edison NEXT
The collaboration between Edison NEXT and IVECO in Spain builds on more than two decades of work to improve energy efficiency and modernise the manufacturer’s industrial facilities.
Recently, Edison NEXT promoted a dual photovoltaic self consumption project at the Madrid and Valladolid plants, with over 1.3 MWp of installed capacity and around 4,800 solar modules, generating more than 1,870 MWh of renewable electricity per year and avoiding approximately 500 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
Developed under a PPA model, the project allows IVECO to access renewable energy at a stable long term price while Edison NEXT assumes the investment, operation and maintenance of the facilities.
