Barcelona: public lighting and green energy
Edison Next supports Barcelona on its path towards a more sustainable, safe and intelligent city. Through the renewal, management and maintenance of public lighting, the company is bringing new light to key districts such as Ciutat Vella, Eixample and Sants‑Montjuïc, improving safety, efficiency and highlighting the city's historical heritage.
Additionally, Edison Next has installed photovoltaic systems in the port’s PIF area, dedicated to freight and cruise activity, enabling green electricity self‑consumption, reducing emissions and stabilising energy costs.
A roadmap for decarbonisation: Pascual Group
A leading Spanish food and beverage group has chosen Edison NEXT to build and execute a tailored decarbonisation roadmap. The goal is to reduce emissions from its multiproduct plant in Aranda de Duero (Burgos) and its milk and dairy packaging plant in Gurb (Barcelona), through investments in energy efficiency, renewable technologies and circular economy solutions.
ArcelorMittal
Edison NEXT is working alongside ArcelorMittal, a global leader in steel and mining production, to develop energy transition solutions focused on energy efficiency and sustainable water management within a circular economy framework. Specifically, these solutions involve the Spanish plants located in Asturias, Gijón, and Avilés, which serve as central production hubs for achieving the group’s broader decarbonization targets.
