At Edison Next, we continue to advance on the path of leading the energy transition, and with it, bringing efficiency to all corners of Spain. For this reason, we work with local administrations in the management and maintenance of the energy consumption of cities and their lighting. This synergy allows us to tackle climate change from all perspectives, helping cities become more attractive, sustainable, and safe through energy.
In this context, we have been awarded a new tender in the municipality of Alcalá de Henares, a city in the province of Madrid. This agreement is part of the city council's corporate responsibility strategy, whose objective is to promote sustainability through the renovation of public lighting, which currently has 18,280 light points.
This award guarantees the continuity of the delegation, as well as that of all colleagues in the Alcalá area, since we have been working with this body since 1992. The awarded contract has a duration of 4 years and a possible one-year extension, with an annual amount of €890,215. This amount is divided into three items:
-
- The largest item concerns the ordinary maintenance of the luminaires, valued at €750,215.
-
- The second annual item aims to expand and improve the public lighting network, with an amount of €90,000.
-
- And finally, a third annual item of €50,000 for the repair of damages caused by third parties.
