As part of our commitment to achieving decarbonization and energy efficiency, at Edison Next, a leader in technological solutions, we have been implementing an energy monitoring platform for years: IRIS.
In general terms, IRIS is a technological solution designed to address today's environmental problems, including the climate emergency. The decarbonization process requires a new, more efficient energy model with optimal use of resources. However, to generate the least possible impact on the planet, it is essential to have digital tools that allow evaluating the energy consumption of facilities or buildings.
In this context, energy efficiency and sustainability have become the cornerstone of the strategy for many of our clients. Therefore, from the beginning, we have worked with a clear vision: to become the best allies for our clients to help them achieve their sustainability goals, through innovative solutions that drive efficiency in the business world, public and private entities, and even cities.
Through this technological solution, IRIS allows the technical team of the company's Energy Control Center, also known as the Energy Hub, to perform real-time monitoring to improve the supervision and performance of its clients' production facilities. With monitoring and analysis, anomalies and overconsumption are detected, which have improved clients' energy KPIs, resulting in a reduction in their economic costs.
For their part, Edison Next clients, through a platform replicable on multiple devices, will be able to access IRIS, benefiting from comprehensive monitoring, tracking of the energy production of each machine located in their centers, and, above all, data-driven decision-making. Likewise, through IRIS, they will be able to visualize consumption in their facilities, analyze data, and download it, allowing them to create energy monitoring reports comparing the evolution of their KPIs.
The result of this innovation is to provide a real identification of energy efficiency measures, as well as to enhance savings in each process, enabling appropriate decision-making for continuous improvement and reduction of the carbon footprint. Solutions and tools that allow Edison Next to continue betting on innovation and development with the aim of leading the change in the current energy model.
