New EDF Fenice headquarters in Madrid: a more collaborative and secure space
The world, due to various factors, is evolving faster every day, and so are the ways of working. In just over a year, our lifestyle and way of life have been radically transformed, as well as the way we relate to each other and work. We are clearly moving toward a hybrid model, the perfect balance between remote and in-person work. We have all already changed many of our work habits and adopted others more suited to these times, with social distancing measures that have been shaping our relationships for many months. In light of this, EDF Fenice is getting ahead of what has come to be called the "new normal" to offer certainty to its employees and clients, with the inauguration of offices that will house its headquarters in Madrid, a new workspace that not only modernizes its facilities but also reflects the company's clear commitment to a transformative and more sustainable future. With the goal of continuing to offer the best Energy Efficiency Solutions and improving the health of our employees, we have created a new work environment that also maximizes the talent of our team and enhances their professional processes. The implementation of these collaborative, open, and flexible spaces, such as our "Ágora" area, fosters participation and the exchange of ideas with the rest of the team, providing the environment with a sense of closeness and interaction, while offering professionals the security they need to carry out their work. The new facilities, located in the central Velázquez Building at C/ Velázquez, 50 – 2nd Floor, aim to break down silos and the difficulties arising from the pandemic, with new flexible and innovative spaces that promote participation and training for all employees, always with one premise: ensuring the safety of the EDF Fenice ecosystem. In short, they will be synonymous with telepresence collaboration. To guarantee the protection of our employees, a Covid Protocol has been established, which ensures the continuity of business activity while placing people as the immediate priority. We highlight some of the measures implemented:
  • Mandatory use of FFP2 masks throughout the building and during the entire workday.
  • Social distance of 2 meters in hallways and office entrances.
  • Recommendation to use the stairs, and if using the elevator, always respect the maximum capacity of each elevator: one person.
  • Use of hydroalcoholic gels distributed throughout the office.
  • Reserve in advance the workstation or meeting room to be used in the office. In order to control capacity and maintain maximum safety among our employees, an innovative application has been implemented that allows these reservations to be made remotely.
  • Daily cleaning of the facilities with disinfectants recommended by the Ministry of Health. In the case of using shared equipment, such as the printer, the employee must clean and disinfect it after use.
  • Periodic ventilation of the rooms.
