Climate change and environmental degradation pose challenges for economic development and the future of generations to come. Achieving a zero-emission environment is the key goal for countries worldwide. In this regard, the objectives have already been set, but how to make this transition is unclear, and although Europe is making unstoppable progress in implementing solutions due to the climate emergency, some leading countries have seen the need to create new formulas to address the journey toward decarbonization.

At this point, representatives of the seven major powers have met to create an intergovernmental forum called the Climate Club. This initiative aims to accelerate the fulfillment and implementation of the policies necessary to mitigate climate change, with a special focus on the industrial sector.

This is a new step to drive the decarbonization of the industrial ecosystem, aligned with the Climate Agenda and the objectives of the Paris Agreement, among other climate pacts. It is a forum open to any country committed to climate neutrality through green policies, where members must cooperate to achieve decarbonization with concrete policies and share their best practices to find more effective formulas to accelerate the energy transition.

And given the climate emergency we are living in, the Climate Club is a wake-up call regarding the insufficiency of climate actions capable of meeting the goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
